Do you have a heart for service? Want to become more engaged with what’s happening at HVPC?
If so, we have a great opportunity for you!
HVPC is adding new members and restructuring our Administration Commission (AC). The thrust of the AC’s efforts, working at the behest of the Session, is to ensure everything keeps running so the church can serve its people. The Administration Commission (AC) will be the "trustees" of HVPC. While the ministry and work of the AC is largely invisible, its role in the life of the church is vital.
A recent ad hoc committee operating under the auspices of the Administration Commission was the Growth & Expansion Committee that helped bring about the new Prayer Room.
The scope of responsibility of this commission includes...
- overseeing finances
- establishing a budget
- working hand-in-hand with stewardship
- providing a safe, useful building
- organizing volunteer cleaning/helping events
- creating a long-range plan for building and grounds
- supervising the personnel committee.
The first meeting of this new iteration of the AC will be Tuesday, January 8, at 7:00 p.m. Meetings will be monthly. If you have questions, see Pastor Dan (email@example.com; 215-947-5500).
